Explosion – Tianjin (China), 12 August 2015

vrs Adjusters are instructed by a number of insurers for losses arising from the huge explosions that have devastated parts of the Port of Tianjin. The blasts originated in a warehouse owned by Tianjin International Ruihai Logistics but have severely affected port infrastructure, as well as other warehouse and factories in the vicinity. It is anticipated that the operations of Tianjin Port, which is a major entry-point for imported goods, will be severely disrupted for some time, with possible cost and loss implications for companies supplying goods to China.

Our vrs Adjusters’ partners in the Asia Pacific region, which include representation in China, are available for any new loss instructions. We have adjusters already on site, although their safety is of paramount importance and conditions do remain hazardous in the area, partly due to continued atmospheric contamination.

For any new instructions, please contact our Asia Pacific Regional Director: Nehemiah Neo –
