The Board of Directors and all Members of the vrs organisation express their sympathies to the people of Japan and wish to convey their condolences to those who have lost their loved ones and colleagues.
The vrs CAT team, led by our Regional Director Asia Pacific, Mr Nehemiah Neo, is constantly re-assessing the devastating tragedy that is still unfolding in Japan. Together with our local partners, the vrs CAT team is closely monitoring the situation and, when appropriate, local capabilities will be reinforced with an international team of multi-disciplinary engineers, in addition to the support of experienced adjusters from vrs offices around the world.
The ongoing threat of a radiation crisis, continued intermittent aftershocks and the lack of infrastructure means that our local partners cannot enter the worst hit north-eastern regions for the time being. At present local staff are beginning investigations into losses in the areas of Tokyo, Saitama and Kanagawa prefectures.
Our CAT team has a toll free number in Tokyo which our local and global clients can call to assign new claims.
People with Japanese and English language skills will answer the following
Toll free number +81-345780251
and will be assisting our clients from around the world - please be patient since lines are suffering a lot of congestion. If you have any concerns or would like to assign a claim, please refer to the
